A través de la investigación realizada en 2024 por Alexander, con el apoyo del FONCA, se buscó destacar la rica experiencia histórica de la construcción en madera en el país, cuyos orígenes se remontan al siglo XVII. Esta iniciativa incluyó la visita y documentación de 10 proyectos emblemáticos de madera en México, complementada con la creación de piezas abstractas y dibujos que reinterpretan y transmiten esta Alessandra Muller.Profesores: Pekka Heikkinen, Laura Zubillaga, Philip Tidwell and Mauri Konttila El proyecto «Kore» desarrollado junto a 13 estudiantes durante la pandemia como parte del Wood Program de la Universidad de Aalto, se centró en crear un espacio habitable compacto, sostenible y transportable. El proyecto se basa en un núcleo central y una estructura modular diseñada para ser transportable en un camión. La casa, de 3.5 x 6 metros, esta compuesta de dos componentes principales: una base con paredes que integran el núcleo y un techo desmontable. Mediante experimentos iterativos con secciones y modelos a escala de papel y madera, optamos por un techo en forma de pirámide con un tragaluz descentralizado ubicado sobre el área del mezzanine del núcleo. Para el núcleo central, refinamos su distribución a través de prototipos a escala real, priorizando una configuración compacta y cómoda. En un día, ensamblamos las paredes de CLT, dando forma al interior. En el taller, prefabricamos los paneles de revestimiento y diseñamos una conexión especial en forma de pirámide para simplificar su instalación en las paredes en el sitio. Dentro de la casa, la construcción del núcleo avanzó en paralelo al trabajo exterior. Se instalaron las paredes estructurales y la losa del piso, también prefabricada en el taller, que fue cuidadosamente colocada en su sitio. Los componentes del techo, hechos de LVL, fueron cortados con precisión utilizando CNC de 5 ejes. Ocho paneles fueron ensamblados junto con dos arcos para reforzar la integridad estructural. Con el techo instalado por una grúa, la casa quedó transportable como una sola unidad o en dos partes: base y techo. <img width="5632" height="4224" width_o="5632" height_o="4224" &nbsp;Cliente:Beruz Herrero&nbsp; &nbsp; ︎ Alexander Garduño,&nbsp;Veronika Kudriashova Desarrollo, fabricación y montaje de una estructura efímera construida en madera de pino, concebida como soporte espacial para el poema del poeta chileno Raúl Zurita, invitado al festival Poesía en Voz Alta 2025 en Casa del Lago. La pieza fue diseñada como una intervención ligera y temporal: una secuencia de elementos de madera envueltos en tela, que transformaban la estructura en un cuerpo receptivo para la palabra. La madera - material orgánico, cálido y estructural - actuó como esqueleto, mientras que la tela funcionó como piel, conteniendo y revelando el poema en una experiencia espacial. Más que un soporte expositivo, la instalación buscó construir un espacio de pausa y escucha, donde la arquitectura efímera se convierte en mediadora entre la poesía, el paisaje y el visitante. En nuestro taller LEM fabricamos una mesa de siete metros de largo que, durante la Feria de las Calacas en el CENART, se transformó en un altar vivo para el Día de Muertos. Este espacio invitó a familias, adultos mayores y niños a compartir recuerdos de sus seres queridos, evocando las memorias de las comidas compartidas, emociones y sentimientos. Video de fabricación Los recuerdos, escritos en papel, fueron colgados entre los postes de la mesa, convirtiéndose en parte integral de la obra. Con el viento, estos mensajes cobraron vida, simbolizando un diálogo constante entre el presente y el pasado, y transformando la mesa en una pieza de arte llena de significado colectivo. El proyecto fue diseñado por Alexander Garduño y Maite Garcia-Lascurain, con el equipo de fabricación compuesto por Alexander Garduño y Veronika Kudriashova. Cada árbol, hecho en MDF de 15 mm, está conformado por 24 ramas (48 en total), y cada rama se compone de tres capas que integran una tira de LED en el centro. La estructura se sostiene con un esqueleto metálico anclado a las columnas de concreto del museo y un anillo metálico fijado al techo. La solución está en nuestro entorno: el hexágono, una forma natural que ofrece múltiples ventajas. Su geometría maximiza el espacio utilizando una cuadrícula triangular de 60 grados y se adapta a las necesidades de una escuela, creando espacios para vegetación, actividades al aire libre y socialización. Las vigas de madera del techo siguen esta cuadrícula triangular, exhibiendo una estructura expuesta en el interior. La escuela se divide en tres áreas para optimizar su funcionalidad: una zona administrativa con oficinas y sala de reuniones en la entrada, que protege la zona de crecimiento con seis aulas, y un área de intercambio con un patio para actividades al aire libre. El laboratorio multifuncional se conecta con el ágora, que se transforma en un espacio para presentaciones al abrirse. Además, el comedor está vinculado a un huerto, fomentando una buena nutrición El uso de materiales locales como madera, bambú, piedra y arena motiva a los residentes a aprovechar los recursos naturales disponibles. Estos materiales fueron elegidos por su facilidad de construcción, y el sistema de cuadrícula simplifica el proceso constructivo, permitiendo la prefabricación.
